Representatives of the Mittel Company have visited Russian Research Week on March 2016. The goal of the event – promoting the branch of applied sociological and marketing research, attracting more attention of potential clients and the mass media to the activities of Russian research companies.
During the Russian Research Week there were the following traditional and new events:
Traditional VI Sociological Grushinskiy Conference
- 14 of March – Open Day in WCIOM, GfK and FOM research companies in Moscow and regions – a new event, but was available to visit only for clients.
- 15 of March – Big Data Branch, organized with the support of GfK and OMI – a new event, but was available to visit only for clients.
- 16-17 of March – VI International Grushinskiy Conference (on the basis of WCIOM and RANEPA) – a traditional annual event.
- 18 of March – Exhibition ResearchEXPO (organizer – the Group 7/89 Association) – a new event that was cause the most interest.
“Life of the studies after research: how to make the results more clear and useful?” was held in RANEPA. During a conference, there was an interesting interactive discussion led by Haykin S.R. and Zadorin I.V. “How our researches are consumed, digested and used in real life? Sociologists about customers, customers about sociologists”. There were also interesting presentations of Yu. Baskakovoy “Shaken not stirred: combine methods to improve the accuracy. Battle between CATI and door-to-door surveys”.
The exhibition and performances within ResearchEXPO based on Sokolniki Exhibition Center
attracted a great interest on the part of end clients, especially foreigners, however some of their expectations weren’t realized. There was no simultaneous translation into English of plenary presentations.
We hope that Russian Research Week will be more interesting and high level organized on the next year.
